About Izzy Stradlin
The first member of Guns N’ Roses to voluntarily leave the classic lineup of the hugely popular hard-rock band, guitarist Izzy Stradlin went on to form his own Stones-influenced ensemble, the Ju Ju Hounds, in the early 1990s. Although Stradlin joined GNR on stage a few times in subsequent years, he remains a solo artist, despite an offer to play in an early incarnation of Velvet Revolver with some of his former bandmates. Over the years, Izzy has maintained close ties to ex-Gunner Duff McKagan, who performs on a number of Stradlin’s albums, including 2001’s RIVER.
