EPISODE 1 Band of Brothers, Pt. 1: Currahee
On June 4, 1944--just two days before the Allied invasion of Normandy--Lts. Richard Winters (Damian Lewis) and Lewis Nixon (Ron Livingston) reflect back on the events and training that led them to D-Day with the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment E (a.k.a. Easy Company).
EPISODE 2 Band of Brothers, Pt. 2: Day of Days
D-Day. Due to German flak, the tense men of Easy Company are dropped indiscriminately throughout the Normandy countryside, forcing Lt. Winters (Damian Lewis) to team up with a private from another company until he can find his mates.
EPISODE 3 Band of Brothers, Pt. 3: Carentan
On D-Day plus two, the scattered men of Easy Company regroup with the help of Pvt. Albert Blithe (Marc Warren). Lt. Welsh (Rick Warden) then delivers their orders: they must take the town of Carentan.
EPISODE 4 Band of Brothers, Pt. 4: Replacements
Back in England, Easy Company's D-Day veterans heal their bodies and minds while getting acquainted with green replacement members. However, their respite ends quickly when they are sent into Holland as part of Operation Market-Garden.
EPISODE 5 Band of Brothers, Pt. 5: Crossroads
In this episode directed by Tom Hanks, Lt. Winters (Damian Lewis) leads a contingent on a risky mission over a Dutch dike. Meanwhile, Easy is left in the hands of Lt. 'Moose' Heyliger (Stephen McCole), who undertakes a rescue mission in the besieged town of Arnhem.
EPISODE 6 Band of Brothers, Pt. 6: Bastogne
In the dead of winter, the men of Easy Company fend off frostbite and hunger--in addition to the enemy--while holding the line in a forest outside of Bastogne. Meanwhile, exhausted medic Eugene Roe finds friendship with a Belgian nurse.
EPISODE 7 Band of Brothers, Pt. 7: The Breaking Point
After the draining winter at Bastogne, Easy Company faces an enormous challenge: they must take the town of Foy from the enemy despite the incompetence of their new commander, Lt. Dike.
EPISODE 8 Band of Brothers, Pt. 8:The Patrol
Easy Company is ordered to send a patrol to take enemy prisoners in the Alsatian town of Haguenau. Lt. Hank Jones (Colin Hanks), fresh from West Point and eager for combat experience, volunteers to lead them.
EPISODE 9 Band of Brothers, Pt. 9: Why We Fight
Arriving in Germany to very little resistance, the men discover an abandoned Nazi concentration camp still filled with emaciated prisoners.
EPISODE 10 Band of Brothers, Pt. 10: Points
In the concluding episode of this acclaimed miniseries, Major Winters (Damian Lewis) leads Easy Company into the Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden--once the home of the Third Reich's officers--and receives orders to take the abandoned 'Eagle's Nest,' Hitler's breathtaking mountaintop fortress.
EPISODE 11 Band of Brothers, We Stand Alone Together: The Men of Easy Company
This companion documentary to HBO's acclaimed World War II miniseries 'Band of Brothers' tells the story of Easy Company through recent interviews with some of the actual veterans. Combined with the words and memories of the former soldiers is rare and archival film footage and photos that bring to vivid life the incredible achievements of Easy Company, from its boot camp origins in 1942 to their D-Day surge and later offensives in Germany and Belgium. One particularly powerful segment features Company vets William Guarnere and Edward 'Babe' Heffron revisiting the scene of the brutal Battle of the Bulge. Executive produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.
EPISODE 12 The Pacific, Pt. 1
In the immediate aftermath of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, Marine Sgt. John Basilone prepares to ship out and confront the enemy somewhere in the Pacific, while budding journalist Robert Leckie enlists in the Marine Corps. Eugene Sledge, unable to enlist because of a heart murmur, says farewell to his best friend, Sidney Phillips, who is about to leave for boot camp. Exactly eight months after Pearl Harbor, the 1st Marine Division, including Leckie and Phillips, lands on Guadalcanal in order to secure its strategically vital airfield and prepare for the inevitable counterattack.
EPISODE 13 The Pacific, Pt. 2
Basilone and the 7th Marines arrive on Guadalcanal to reinforce Leckie and the rest of the 1st Marine Division as they continue to defend the crucial airstrip. Basilone plays a key role in repelling a nighttime Japanese attack, but suffers a frightful personal loss. After four months of continuous action, the exhausted and disease-ridden members of the 1st Marine Division are evacuated off the island.
EPISODE 14 The Pacific, Pt. 3
Physically and mentally debilitated after the four-month ordeal on Guadalcanal, Leckie, Basilone and thousands of their comrades land in Melbourne, where they are greeted by adoring crowds and viewed as the saviors of Australia. While his buddies carouse, Leckie becomes deeply attached to an Australian woman and her first-generation Greek family. Meanwhile, Basilone is awarded the Medal of Honor and is asked to return home to help sell U.S. war bonds.
EPISODE 15 The Pacific, Pt. 4
Finally enlisted as a Marine, Sledge trains for combat at Camp Elliott. The 1st Marine Division lands at Cape Gloucester on the Japanese-held island of New Britain. As Leckie and the other Marines battle the Japanese, they quickly realize that the more ominous enemy is the smothering jungle itself. Having survived Gloucester and stationed on the godforsaken island of Pavuvu, Leckie begins displaying the physical and mental effects of combat and is sent to a naval hospital on nearby Banika for psychiatric observation.
EPISODE 16 The Pacific, Pt. 5
Basilone's celebrity grows as he travels across the country on the war bonds tour. On Pavuvu, Sledge, assigned to the 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, is briefly reunited with Phillips and Leckie rejoins his company. Sledge then gets his first taste of combat as he, Leckie, and the rest of the 1st Marine Division meet fierce Japanese resistance while landing on the intricately and heavily defended coral island of Peleliu.
EPISODE 17 The Pacific, Pt. 6
Despite the suffocating 115-degree heat and a lack of clean drinking water, Sledge, Leckie and the other Marines confront the highly-fortified enemy as they attempt to capture the Peleliu airfield. After seeing his comrades badly injured, Leckie himself is wounded and evacuated from the island. Sledge witnesses the shocking truth about what is sometimes required to survive and fight another day.
EPISODE 18 The Pacific, Pt. 7
The Marines, including the newly christened Sledgehammer, continue the battle of Peleliu against an enemy determined to fight to the last man. Devastated by the loss of a revered leader, and witnessing unimaginable barbarity on both sides, Sledge veers to the very edge of moral collapse. Their objective finally secured, the Marines return to Pavuvu fundamentally changed by their experience on Peleliu.
EPISODE 19 The Pacific, Pt. 8
Increasingly frustrated by his role campaigning for war bonds, Basilone convinces the Marines to allow him to train troops headed for combat. Transferred to Camp Pendleton, he enjoys a whirlwind romance with an initially reluctant female Marine, Lena Riggi. But the couple know they are living on borrowed time, as Basilone is soon to take part in the Marine landing on Iwo Jima.
EPISODE 20 The Pacific, Pt. 9
After battling across the island of Okinawa for over a month, Sledge and the rest of the 1st Marine Division are ordered to relieve an Army division that has been in combat against the most strongly defended Japanese position on the island. The primordial conditions and the moral dilemma posed by the presence of civilians put tremendous strain on the physical and psychological endurance of Sledge and the other Marines.
EPISODE 21 The Pacific, Pt. 10
(Miniseries Finale). After the Japanese surrender, Leckie, healed from his wounds, leaves the hospital and returns home, while Sledge heads back to Alabama to be reunited with his family and Sid Phillips. Lena visits Basilone's home and has an emotional meeting with his family. Leckie adjusts to post-war life by resuming his old job and starting a new relationship, but for Sledge, unsure why he survived the war seemingly unscathed, adjustment will require more time.
