About the Movie
Sam (Rupert Friend) is a reclusive and complicated man whose only friend is George (Forest Whitaker), the compassionate and well-intentioned manager of a downtrodden New York City hotel. Once a promising jazz musician, Sam now spends his nights secluded in a hotel room in an attempt to reconcile the death of his beloved wife Josephine (Sarah Wayne Callies) until an unexpected visitor rushes into his room and locks herself in his bathroom. As mysterious as her mathematical moniker, Pi (Clémence Poésy) takes Sam on a journey of self-discovery through the door of the hotel room bath.
