About the Movie Kathy Bates is truly one of the greatest female actors of our time...and this film lends considerable weight to that assertion. Jennifer Jason Leigh is truly underrated. Her performance in this film was nothing short of brilliant. This is probably the best Stephen King adaptation ever made. Misery was outstanding, but it is still overshadowed by the novel. This film stands equally beside King's masterpiece.
