TLC captures the indomitable spirit of one of modern R&B’s most influential groups. T-Boz’s sultry voice, Chilli’s angelic vibe, and uncut ATL attitude powers “Way Back” (with Snoop Dogg), “Haters”, and “Aye Muthafucka”—the latter showing it’s still open season on scrubs. Their emotions shine on “Perfect Girls” (a timely update to their self-respect anthem “Unpretty”), and “It’s Sunny” is an homage to better days that attaches the horns riff from Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September” to a slinky house groove.
The Deluxe edition features remastered versions of five of their biggest hits.
