Pete Murray returns after a six-year absence and sticks the landing. The Byron Bay singer/songwriter rolls with personal and stylistic changes. You can feel the kick-drum strut on “Only One” and “Sold”, reflecting a funk somewhere between ’70 greats like Bill Withers and contemporary coffeehouse crooners like John Mayer. While Camacho confidently bumps, his heart is the main muscle that powers the album forward.
