Plot Summary

Billy Hope seemingly has it all with an impressive career, a beautiful and loving wife (Rachel McAdams), an adorable daughter (Oona Laurence) and a lavish lifestyle. When tragedy strikes and his lifelong manager and friend (Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson) leaves him behind, Hope hits rock bottom and turns to an unlikely savior at a run-down local gym: Tick Willis (Academy Award® winner Forest Whitaker), a retired fighter and trainer to the city's toughest amateur boxers. 剧情简介
　　曾经，比利（杰克·吉伦哈尔 Jake Gyllenhaal 饰）凭借着他凶猛冷酷的左拳享誉拳坛，一时之间无人能敌，是当之无愧的拳王。然而，一场意外的发生让比利失去了挚爱的妻子莫林（瑞秋·麦克亚当斯 Rachel McAdams 饰），这场悲剧彻底打垮了比利，他开始自暴自弃，不仅放弃了事业，甚至开始酗酒吸毒，因此，他被剥夺了女儿蕾拉（奥娜·劳伦斯 Oona Laurence 饰）的抚养权，蕾拉被送入了福利机构。
